Now plug your Pogoplug into a wall socket, or available socket in a power strip.
Did the light on the front of your Pogoplug turn on? If not, your power strip may not be connected to a power source, or the power cable may not be connected to your Pogoplug.

Now it's time to connect your external hard drive. Take the USB cable that came with your hard drive and connect one end into the hard drive, and the other into any of the available USB ports on your Pogoplug. If your hard drive has its own power source, please make sure that it is connected and turned on.

Now let's verify that your Pogoplug is able to connect to the internet and communicate with the Pogoplug service.
Is the light on the front of your Pogoplug green?
If the light is not green, wait about 60 seconds to make sure that your Pogoplug has had a chance to finish starting up. If it is still not green, your Pogoplug may not be communicating with the Pogoplug service.

If you've connected your Pogoplug to power and to a router but the light on the front of your Pogoplug is not green, here are some things you can check:
Is the ethernet cable connected to your Pogoplug and to your router?
Is your router turned on?
Does your router give out IP addresses to computers on your network (DHCP)?
Do you have a firewall installed that blocks UDP, or is UDP disabled on your router?
If you have verified all of the tips and the light on the front of your Pogoplug is still not green, please try unplugging your Pogoplug from the power source and plugging it in again.
